Student leadership

Student leadership helps young people find their voices, participate in decision-making, and understand their rights and responsibilities as active citizens. It helps students have a real impact on their learning and school environment and prepares them to participate meaningfully in their community.

Students can be leaders in the classroom, through their actions in the playground, through their support for others, or their involvement in academic, sporting, cultural or local community events or projects.

Student Representative Council (SRC)

The Student Representative Council (SRC) work with the Bomaderry High School staff and students to promote, encourage and facilitate student involvement within the school community in activities which may strengthen and enrich the school community.

The SRC encourage student to assume positions of responsibility and leadership and assist in the fullest possible development of all the talents of each individual student as a member of the community.

The SRC provide a means of expression of student opinion on matters affecting the student body and to make recommendations to the Principal on these matters.

The SRC regularly raise monies for the purpose of funding approved student activities within the SRC for the promotion of social justice or environmental issues or for the donation to charitable bodies. Bomaderry High School is proud of the significant contribution the SRC makes to the school community.
