Students have the opportunity to participate in local, Regional, State and National competitions. Permissions are online via email using the SchoolBytes online system. Programs
Weekly Sport
The school has access to many sporting facilities within walking distance, which provide students with a greater range of opportunities to engage in a variety of sporting and recreation activities. Year 7 Sport
Students in Year 7 participate in weekly sport each week on Tuesdays during period 4. They participate in a variety of sports and activities, including house competitions throughout the year and choices in Term 4.
Years 8-10 Sport
Students in Years 8-10 participate in weekly sport each week on Thursdays during period 4. They choose from a wide range of sports offered during different seasons such as beach games, beach walking, fishing, oztag, netball, badminton, futsal, volleyball, basketball, walking, European handball, tennis, fitness bootcamp, soccer and many more.
Representative School Sport
Students have the opportunity at different ages to represent Bomaderry High School in a range of sports for knockout competitions and gala days. Popular sports include Volleyball, AFL, Soccer, Basketball, Touch Football, Rugby League, Rugby 7s, Netball, Cricket, Table Tennis, Tennis, Squash and many more.
NSW Public Schools have representative opportunities available at the zone, regional, state and national level. Bomaderry High School is part of the Shoalhaven Zone and the South Coast School Sports Association (Regional level). Announcements are made at school when the representative trials are for a wide variety of sports at zone and regional level or any other opportunity.
For Athletics, Swimming and Cross Country, Bomaderry High School holds an annual carnival where students compete for a place in the school team to represent at the Shoalhaven Zone Carnival. Successful students can progress to regional, state and national events.
