Faculty overview

The PDHPE faculty are experienced teachers who are passionate about all aspects of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education. We are committed to providing innovative and comprehensive learning opportunities for all students studying our subjects. We expertly integrate iPads into learning to increase analysis and understanding about movement, health, safety and wellbeing.

Curriculum and programs

PDHPE is mandatory for all students in years 7-10.

7-10 PDHPE - Through PDHPE, students gain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to safeguard and improve their own and others' health, safety, and wellbeing in different situations. Our focus on physical education empowers students to develop movement skills and concepts, allowing them to participate in various physical activities with confidence, competence, and creativity.

Year 9 High Potential and Gifted Education elective

  • High Performance Athlete Program

  • Community and Family Studies
  • Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation Studies

Student support

Borrowing sporting equipment – Students can borrow a variety of outdoor sporting equipment at breaks to engage in fun physical activity. Students regularly borrow sporting equipment such as footballs, basketballs, volleyballs table tennis bats and balls for our outdoor table tennis tables.

Online – All 7-10 classes have a Google Classroom to manage student learning. All senior classes have either Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams as their online learning platform
